The Challenge
The goal of this personal project was to take complex narrative data from the series Orange Is the New Black and condense it into a single, high-impact visual story. The challenge lay in organizing a large amount of character information and plot statistics into a layout that felt balanced, readable, and stylistically aligned with the industrial aesthetic of the show.
The Solution
As a study in promotional merchandise design, I created a large-format infographic poster that utilizes a structured grid to present character arcs and series data. By using a limited color palette drawing directly from the iconic orange and charcoal tones of the show, I created a cohesive visual flow that guides the viewer through the information. I focused on clean typography and custom iconography to ensure that even the most data-dense sections remained accessible and engaging, demonstrating how complex IP data can be translated into a high-end promotional asset.
Key Results
-
Narrative Synthesis: Successfully translated a full season of television data into a clear, one-page visual summary.
